Researched for, planned, and deployed a Cisco wireless network for High Tech High tailored to building design and bandwidth needs. Installed and configured a content filtering web proxy server.
SDSU Bioinformatics Internship (Spring 2007)
Developed software to locate potential protein binding sites in DNA sequences using statistical methods. Composed software tools to facilitate the distribution of a DNA analysis program across a cluster of computers.
Greater San Diego Science and Engineering Fair (March 2007)
Awarded “Student Advisory Board Award”, “First Place” in senior division of environmental sciences category, and was recognized by San Diego chapter of the American Statistical Association and the Society of Toxicology for work titled “Effect of Firework Residue on Primary Producers”.
Forum Administrator (February–April 2006)
Deployed and maintained a healthy internet forum which was key to facilitating class communication for a sustainable development project at High Tech High.
Taco Salad Film Festival (June 2005)
Directed and produced 15 minute documentary on Jerusalem in a partnership. Research and communication skills were exercised, as well as electronic media skills. Documentary received “Best Editing” award.
Activities
FIRST Robotics Team 1538 (2008)
Developed web application to collect and analyze competition data to help Team 1538 make wise alliances. Assisted in planning and developing of robot-controlling software.
PADI Open Water Dive Certification (2006–Present)
Certified as an open water diver with the Professional Association of Diving Instructors.
